Rafa Garcia, a classic wrestle-boxer, goes up against Alexander Hernandez, an athletic wrestler. Garcia's recent knockout win over Jared Gordon raised some eyebrows, but the circumstances surrounding that fight leave some questions. Hernandez, on the other hand, has found success at lightweight with improved gas tank management. Davey Grant, a fan favorite, takes on Adrian Luna Martinetti, who is making his UFC debut. Grant, despite his age, has shown no signs of slowing down and brings his powerful kickboxing to every fight. Martinetti, with an impressive record, relies on high-volume kickboxing and quality BJJ. However, this is a significant step up in competition for him. Grant's craftiness and grit, combined with his powerful kicks, should give him the edge. I predict Grant will wear down Martinetti and secure a decision victory.
Bantamweight Contender Fight: Jackson vs. Barcelos
Montel Jackson, a frustrating yet talented fighter, faces Raoni Barcelos, who is riding a wave of momentum. Jackson's inactivity and one-note style could be his downfall against the relentless Barcelos. Barcelos, at 38, is having the best year of his career with a mix of boxing and wrestling.
