Axis has rolled out AI-enabled upgrades to its network solutions lineup, featuring a thermal and visual PTZ device alongside rugged bullet cameras with enhanced analytics performance.
In recent weeks, Axis Communications has expanded its network camera family with several major releases. The lineup includes a single, all-in-one AI-powered bi-spectral camera that combines dual thermal and visual surveillance in one PTZ unit, plus four next-generation AI-driven bullet cameras that deliver exceptional image quality and forensic detail.
These new IP cameras are built on ARTPEC-9, Axis’s latest system-on-chip, promising faster performance and the ability to run advanced analytics at the edge.
A key highlight is AXIS Object Analytics preinstalled to detect, classify, track, and count humans and various vehicle types. In addition, Axis Edge Vault—an on-device cybersecurity platform—provides hardware-based protection with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage and operation.
AXIS Q6411-LE Bispectral PTZ
The AXIS Q6411-LE Bispectral PTZ camera combines thermal detection with visual verification, supports AV1 codec, and delivers accelerated performance for superior situational awareness. Alongside AXIS Object Analytics, it is compatible with AXIS Perimeter Defender for enhanced area detection using thermal technology, and includes orientation assistance plus Auto-Tracking 2 with click-and-track functionality.

Unmatched performance with durable bullet cameras
The four new bullet cameras are designed to deliver excellent image quality and forensic detail even in challenging weather or environments. The AXIS P1475-LE and AXIS P1485-LE provide 2 MP resolution, while the AXIS P1487-LE and AXIS P1488-LE offer 5 MP and 8 MP respectively. The AXIS P1488-LE features a large 1/1.2-inch sensor to maintain solid performance in low light conditions.
To maximize efficiency, these models leverage OptimizedIR for nighttime surveillance and Axis Zipstream to dramatically reduce bandwidth and storage needs—and overall costs—without compromising performance.
