Unveiling the stunning makeover of a 20-year-old residence

One inspiring home renovation was showcased in a video shared by Anam Taufik Studio's Instagram account on February 27, 2022. This footage provides an inside look at how Anam Taufik, the lead designer at the studio, along with her team, transformed an aging apartment into a pastel paradise.

In their own words, the studio described the project: "Take a stroll through our recently completed Pastel Harbour. A tranquil, calm, and peaceful abode that we designed specifically to convert a two-decade-old house into a cozy retirement home."

Key features of the renovation

The video showcases the remarkable changes made to the apartment, highlighting how the designers infused the interiors with soft pastel colors and wooden accents. They began by revitalizing the exterior of the house, enhancing the entrance with lush greenery, contemporary lighting elements, traditional sculptures, and light wood paneling to create an inviting facade.

As viewers transition into the living area, they are greeted by walls painted in a soothing cream hue. The designers incorporated light pink suede sofas, vibrant indoor plants, airy white linen curtains, eye-catching abstract artworks, and a stylish cabinet made of a mix of dark and light wood. The overall effect is both modern and warm, perfect for relaxation.

For those quiet moments, a charming sitting area was crafted, ideal for enjoying a cup of tea any time of day. This cozy nook features a delightful pink ceiling lamp, colorful printed cushions, an L-shaped sofa complemented by contemporary cream chairs, a round table, and striking wall decorations that add character and cheer.

In the mandir, or prayer room, the designers opted for tropical-themed wallpaper, enhanced by a decorative gold bell fixture. Wooden panels were thoughtfully installed to hold idols, paired with a dark wood cabinet for added functionality. Finally, the bedroom showcases modern lighting, patterned walls in soft pastel tones, and artistic wall carvings that serve as a beautiful backdrop for art pieces.
